Instagram Reel : TikTok alternative in India

Instagram launches his new feature The Instagram reel on Wednesday 10 July 2020 from 7:30pm IST as an alternative of TikTok, just after one week from the ban of TikTok  along with the 59 other Chinese mobile applications due to citing national and public security threads, Tik Tok is a most-widely popular app, before Tik Tok bans it's having over 120 million users in India, as of June 2019.

Reel has a similar feature to TikTok as a user can shoot a 15-sec short video on Instagram and can use the filter and popular music from its catalog or can borrow the audio from another video, also can edit the video as its having speed and slow-motion option

Instagram is a photo and video sharing app and it already has popular features like live, story and IG TV. From 2012 Instagram owned by Facebook, Instagram has more than 1.5 billion monthly active users and is a worldwide famous social media app.

This Is not the first time when Facebook is trying to challenge the TikTok popularity as they before launch the short-video creating app called Loose. But it can’t get popular as that of TikTok. Now Facebook has the great opportunity to get the market of the short video creating concept after TikTok the ban in India.

Instagram launch reel in Brazil last year in November, and in France and Germany as these counties have a huge number of Instagram users and they don’t obsess with the TikTok.

TikTok  video creators in India have a huge number of followers, after TikTok ban in India they have only the option to create videos on Instagram or use the other alternative app. most of the video creator of TikTok have good a number of Instagram followers, so the views can watch their videos on Instagram and can get their followers back.

What is Instagram Reel?

The Instagram reel is the new feature of Instagram, the same as TikTok. it's available in the Instagram camera along with the story and live option

Open the Instagram camera you can see reel option, as you select reel it has the music library, speed control, effects, and timer options, user can record the 15-sec video or can upload from their photo library. also can add a different filter or review, delete and re-record the video.

The Instagram reel also have "Use Audio” option, by clicking on exploring they will find the reel of others by clicking on it they find more video by scrolling up

How to create Instagram Reel?

1.    Open the camera of Instagram at the bottom you will find reel option
2.    Click on the Reel you will find the four more option as following
3.    Audio: you can find or can search for music for your video, best part of the Instagram audio the feature is you will see lyrics on the screen, so you can select any part of the lyrics
4.    Speed: you can control the speed of the video. You can record videos in slow motion at up to 0.3x or speed them up to 3x.
5.    Effects: you will find the effects after clicking on the effect option or can browse more effects created by Instagram and creators all over the world on Instagram independent browse effect option 
6.    Timer: timer help to choose how long the clip will be and can creat hand free video, it has a 3-sec countdown 
7.  Align:  When you start recording you will find one more option called Align help you to line up the previous clip before recording too next.
8.    User can record video on our original voice by simply clicking on the record button 
9.    You can use the other's audio to create a video, for that, you have to tap on the song given in the left bottom corner of the reel video. 

How to share Instagram reel?

You can share the Instagram reel with your followers. Reel that you post to feed appears on the feed tab when you allow to save it on feed or it can be saved in reel tab.

Reel can also be shared in stories or indirect, which will appear as a story for 24 hours, reel have the potential to be discovered by the huge, diverse Instagram community on explore
